M53+NGC5053 1-4-09 with 350D

With the moon in the sky I thought I would image a couple of clusters. Using the 130mm APO at F6 and the 350D. It was very murky but I managed to get 20 X 3mins. It was only when I was packing up I realised that I had not put the light pollution filter on.

It took a great deal of processing to get a reasonable result. This gave rise to the rather strange background.

I know what you mean about the murk, I grabbed 2.5 hours of the Whale and the results were pants.

I'd kill for a decent clear night.
