Offset setting for ZWO ASI533MC Pro

I have been using the above camera for deep sky objects and have been using an offset of 40 (don't know where that figure came from) but I have read that it is more likely to perform better with it set at 70, my gain is set at 101, does anyone have a recommended setting of offset for this camera and a reason behind it please

I use 100 gain offset of 10 that seemed to be the recommended setting and stuck with it .
