North America Nebula in Cygnus.

An emission nebula 2000 years away.

I wanted to try out the L-extreme filter on this one to try and better distinguish the colours of the dominant gases present. These are Hydrogen alpha (red) and Oxygen III (blue).

I managed 35x 300sec exposures using SWED80 refractor and Zwo Asi294mc pro camera on HEQ5 guided mount.

Stacked in DSS with darks and flats.

Processed using Photoshop CC.

Hope you like as I think the L-extreme has done well.

CC’s welcome.1157BA4A-04F3-4706-9554-7B4B059BC46D.thumb.jpeg.3b78353a0bef236150dbf5ac4d19f835.jpeg

I also have this one taken with the L-eNhance filter which is better composed I reckon.
