NGC 7331-Bin1

I figured this deserved its own page--Its a Bin 1 version of my NGC 7331.  This was possible due to a much better than average for me luminance

C11Edge .7x reducer OAG and ASI 1600--18 hours--bin1

This one is the best one yet from your NGC 7331 saga. All of them were good, just this one is the best.

You think?  Wow, thanks.  I am considering collecting more RGB. I definitely could use more data, especially green.  We’ll see.  Many targets are calling

Processing wise, cant tell, since i am not behind the scenes pulling the strings on the levels. Just something about this one that "pops" out from the other ones, cant be more specific than that!

But what i can tell is that you have managed good star shapes on a challenging target (its a tiny galaxy and the stars are still good = top tier stuff!), and good overall dust lane detail on this one. Maybe one of the earlier decon ones were better in terms of detail, but as you worried i felt they were maybe too hard on the mottling effect. This one just "feels" the best 👍.

I agree—the Deconvolution created artifacts. It is such a hard tool to control

I reprocessed it and removed artifacts. It’s much better controlled and cleaner.  I’ll keep at it

I'm amazed at the amount of colour you've managed to bring out, especially in the spiral arms.

My versions end up with a dull grey-blue.

I think the luminance really made this image. Seeing was unusually good for the lum.  The RGB image looked dull and blobbish like you say, but when I added the luminance it became clear.
