Rupes Recta (straight wall)

The clear weather this week has given me the rare chance to watch the Moon change over consecutive days. A rareity indeed.

The area that most caught my eye was the Rupes Recta.

It appears as a long dark line running roughl North/South.

I had heard many mentions of the feature but had not observed it well myself.

These 2 images were taken on the 6th & 7th of April 06.

They show how the change in light direction changes the 'look' of the feature.

Cheers

Ian
