Treisnecker Rilles very well illuminated this evening - 8th May 2022

Well worth a look if you get a chance.

This is the NASA simulator view, the view through my 8” was much sharper, with better contrast and more detail.

Was just moving to this one (having seen both Hyginus and Ariadaeus Rilles for the first time - very clear) when low clouds scudded in  I maybe got 10 seconds looking for it but did not see anything; 4" scope plus Binoviewers, which I assume should show it?

Also convinced myself I saw Plinius Rille.

That’s annoying. Yes, a 4” will show it, I managed with the 76Q, but much clearer in the 8” as you would expect.

It looked fantastic earlier tonight.  The surrounding Rima looked great as well. Later at night the lighting changed and they were harder to see details. I did some imaging as well.

Great shot @Kon. They were as good as I’ve ever seen them at the time I posted. Really glad I put the 8” out!

That is an excellent image @Kon it has a really natural feel to it - just like it really looks. Well, when the air is nice and steady, anyway!
