My New 10"Dob and stand

Pictures of my new Dob, And the stand I have just made for it to sit on, I Have also drilled holes for the Dob to sit flush on the stand.

I have drilled holes out for the eyepieces so I do not have them rolling all over the place.......

This is probably a silly question .... but why put it on a stand?

I just find it easier to use, As it is a bit low when its on the floor I find I would have to crouch down to use it, As its higher I find it more comfortable.....

Oh, obvious really. Being vertically challenged, if mine was on a stand, I'd need to use steps.

Good idea, I used to find my 10" Dob was a little uncomfortable to use at certain angles, and a stand like yours would have fitted the bill perfectly.

Nice to finally see your scope...Mine is too low as you say, I bought a stool instead and sit down to observe...Might make a stand like your though....

I acually required the wood and metal frame from work, Lol it was easy to knock together, I Sometimes need to use a step ladder but its great to lean on an get comfortable and settled.....lol
