Firmware update SW Synscan V5

Hi,

The latest SW hand controller V5 has a usb port instead of 12V DC power port. I have never upgrated firmware. Do you need only the usb cable for firmware upgrade or hand controler must be connected with the mount at the same time to receive power?

It can be update using a USB B type connector and receives it's power through the USB cable (5V).  You just need to hook it up to the computer, as it doesn't need to be connected to the mount for updating the firmware...

Unless you are experiencing issues with the handset or how it controls the mount then there is no real point in updating the handset with newer firmware.
