let's hope they will come back soon. Lack of ES eyepieces started two years ago..

I have also a SW 12 dob f/5. Pentax XW 3,5mm will give 428 mag. I am sure I will rarely use it (when seeing is perfect), but I have eyepieces 70° and above with 4+ elements so I avoid using barlow. That's why I am thinking of it. For ED80 it is on the limit.

Is Pentax XW 3,5mm a good choice for maximum magnification in combination with SW ED80 (planetary and double stars)? It gives 171x.

My friend's similar eyepiece (bought years ago) says "Pentax Corporation Made in Japan" instead of Ricoh Who knows?.....

I recently bought one brand new Pentax XW 5mm that says on its label "Made in Japan". Does it mean the lenses are made in Japan and the assembly in Philippines ?

Pentax XW 10mm eyepiece is one of the best of all time. Perfectly corrected. Never leave it, you may regret it.

Floor mats for kids (those in puzzle shape) are also good and can be easily cut in desired shape. Also not rubbed.

With an eyepiece at 3,5mm it gives 171x magnification. I think is good for Jupiter and Saturn. Is it too much for the 80mm aperture ?

How does SW 80ED perform in visual observation ? Is it worth for observing planets, double stars, brightest DSO and wide field views as a grab n go scope ?

I want an eyepiece which will provide me the biggest possible field of view for observing extended nebulas, open clusters, Andromeda galaxy etc. For example Pleiades With ES 30mm, stars in the outer 10% will be a mess at f/5 without paracorr (dob 305mm 1500mm) ? If so, I find the ES 82° purchase useless with the extra degrees being "faulty".

When you saying ES 82 gives a more immersive experience, you mean the biggest field it provides? The extra 10 degrees compared with APM, are not corrected well?

TV Panoptic 35mm or ES 30mm 82 for f/5 Dob ? (Without paracorr) Someone who has compared them would help a lot
