StellaLyra 12" Dob - the good and the bad

One more piece of refinement from a few nights ago. There was still a bit of wobble. When on the EQ platform I could see there was some flex between the Dob base and the platform. I removed the feet and it's a lot better 👍

Other refinement include a strip of industrial Velcro to the bottom underside of the tube so I can fit a counterweight. The finder/focuser make the tube's centre of gravity lopsided, especially with a large 2" eyepiece fitted.

Revisited collimation which led me to put some spacers under the focuser's finder side as it was the focuser which was slightly out of collimation. Star tests look immaculate now  So much so, sub 1" doubles are easy.
