Welcome to "The Baby Taka"

Recommended Posts

I told my wife that I found it abandoned on the side of a road and that out of pity I took it home. Increase the Taka family with "The Little Taka".
It will be used for Solar in Ha alpha with Daystar, riech filed, grab and go

i need suggestions on the support (rings, cradle, etc?)

Should work well, nice full disk views possible.

I use More Blue rings and dovetail on mine now, the Quark image was from a previous one I owned a few years back.

Lovely scope!

Did your wife believe you? Even she must know no-one would ever leave a Tak on the roadside!

I casually mentioned to my partner weeks ago I was debating whether or not to get a Mewlon 180. She said, so when's it arriving :)

I like the smaller of the two applicable cradles (I think it looks nice :) )

I have 2 cradles, one on a Vixen dovetail and one on the Manfrotto mount. It makes it really easy to switch the scope from grab and go to something more stable.

Only problem might be with a heavy eyepiece (Daystar Quark?) you might have trouble balancing?

I normally have to have the scope pushed as far forward as it can go in the cradle, though a long dovetail would solve that.

Nicely done.
Now you've got me wondering if I could explain a Stellalyra dob, left in a large basket on my doorstep, with a note saying "please look after this scope".
