Connecting GSS to planetarium software

I have recently installed GSS and I believe that you can link it to a planetarium programme (Stellarium/ CdC) and utilise functions to pick a target and instruct to slew.

I have had a look and see that there is a CdC serve tab in the GSS Main Screen but I cant get it to work. 

I have Skycharts Cartes du Ciel installe.  Do I need more?

What am I doing wrong?

In CdC, select Telescope, Connect Telescope, Select and then choose Ascom GS Sky Telescope as the driver.
