Us observers can't post flashy pictures of our achievements but we can do our best to describe them, the circumstances surrounding the observations and even the emotions experienced as a result.  Hopefully such reports prove interesting and encouraging to others 

If I ever see a clear sky again (I've been wondering lately ) I'll certainly post a narrative report about what I see somewhere in the observing section.

I do like to paint a picture as it were, and to some degree it also serves as a reminder to myself how I felt at the time - which as you say is a big part of the experience. Really glad you enjoyed reading it!
