IC1396 first attempts

First image from the L-eXtreme and also the first time I've had a play with masks in PI just to see if I could "make changes" to the colours as it were...Also had a play with pixelmath to change the intensity of the stars.

I've found that sometimes less is more with PI. It's easy to tinker too much with curves and you think it looks fine on the screen at the time and then you come back to it later and think "what did I do to that!".

Out of the three so far, I like the first one best.

Keep going, it's all practice.

Agreed I keep trying things and following tutorials but it feels like when I do the exact same thing the tutorial does that I just don’t  get the same results 😃

I took a few more last night and combined with other nights but had to crop a bit due to different alignments - I'd rotated....
