Windy 101

Pooh, had to scrap over an hour's worth of 3.5 hours of Lum on this one. Wind! 40 mins per channel binned colour, Meade 127 Atik 16HR.

A visiting AP900 was also in trouble so the EQ6 did well in the circumstances. The wind just blasted in sudden gusts once every five minutes. Curses filled the night air in several languages...

(Dutch is particularly expressive, I find!)

Russian is a good earthy language to curse in I believe with virtually no chance of bystanders understanding a word.

Yob tvoyu mat!! Sorry if anyone understands that. The thought of a multi lingual cussing competition sounds more interesting than astrophotography.

One thing Olly, if it is windy there is usually no chance of dewing so you can put the dew shield away and maybe have less bother from the wind.

Good point, Dennis - though on this occasion we were getting sudden short blasts which simply scrapped the exposure on the spot.
