Wonderful meteor - 8pm ish 24th Sept 2021

After getting a heads up for an ISS pass, I stepped out of the back door to see a quite spectacular, slow moving meteor. I guess it started high up in the South and it headed down to the West. It was bright, white, perhaps a little yellowish and broke up into a few pieces towards the end. Best one I’ve seen for a while, although it almost looked too slow for a meteor. At a guess it lasted for about 6 or 7 seconds.

Anyone else catch it? I’m in Somerset now. Still missed the ISS so I guess it was about 8.05pm. This more than made up for it though.

We saw the ISS but no meteor, I think you got the better deal Stu.

I went out to get the bbq grid and it was clear, as away in the van, so dragged Mrs W out to look up and knew ISS was due, baited the hook, she bit..... then the cloud rolled in.

Caught the ISS on the dewy allsky, sadly no meteor was caught.
