new to astro photo what im doin wrong ?

Hello everyone  I'm starting to get more interested into astrophoto on the cheap   I have 2 canon 1000d that I purchase cheap on ebay both work fine I did the filter mod I remove just 1 filter  I think its working fine I'm stunt when I see all the stuff up there that I dint see before amazing  I been  using DeepSkyStack  but cant figured out what I'm doing wrong I think I get decent pics but when I finish stacking i have no clue what I'm looking at here's are some pics of what I get from the camera I'm what comes out of deepskystack can anyone check this out  give some advice keep in mind its my first night out

Lets stick with Vega for the moment, go a step at a time.

Can you list for the following?

  • What calibration frames, if any, do you add to DSS when stacking.
  • how many lights did to include
  • exposure times for each of the above

Can you post the autosave TIF file from DSS. 

Which, if any, settings did you change in DSS?.

How many images did you stack for these files?

You probably need at least 20.

Do not adjust the histogram in DSS, just save the output file.

Unless designed for imaging, 130mm Newtonian telescopes typically will not come to focus with a DSLR attached due to lack of inward focuser travel. Would explain the 'blank' images.
