Hi all, just posting two screenshots of the solar activity today. Some lovely prom's too. Screenshots in HA and CaK.

I don't have any Ha solar gizmos (at the moment) but took a couple of shots this morning of 2824 and 2822 using my Altair Astro wedge attached to my WO73 with the ASI183mm capturing the video behind a Baader solar continuum filter.

No where as good as yours Nigella.

 

On the second image (of 2822) I noticed 3 little dots almost centre frame and was wondering if they are showing up in your Ha shots?

Hi, I did notice one spot and two pores, precursor to full blown spots. Well done on the WL captures they are good. Nothing wrong with WL. Most of us start our slippery slope into solar observation and imaging with WL.

A rare, of late, opportunity for me to have a look today at the Sun in Ha.  Several very nice proms and great detail in the dominant AR.  Rapidly fluctuating seeing at the time, (5pm), one moment crisp, the next mush.  Still good to get a view again!    🙂
