I have just confirmed that i have captured  Flux tubes, and I am the first amateur to record them on images with a calcium filter!

The first time i ever imaged flux tube's was on November 5th 2020, without knowing  I was the first amateur to ever image these in calcium light.   The first  was  very high resolution , and this  example is very remarkable.

  • Kitsunegari changed the title to Flux tube's discovery in calcium light, 4-12-2021 (first seen November 5th 2020 in high resolution)

Very well done @Kitsnegari

My astro society had a zoom meeting the Friday before last and our speaker was  BAA Solar Section Director Lynn Smith. She advocates amateurs pushing their boundaries and submitting their images etc for just this reason.
