M81

Hi all,

I thought I would have a go at M81 last night.

The clouds were very temperamental so only manged to capture 1hr 20 mins of lights @ 16 x 300s.

I still have a lot of work to do on my capturing and post processing but don't think it is hideous.

Clear skies.

It certainly isn't hideous!  You were also having to contend with a decent sized moon so well done!

Great M81 with a gibbous moon not too far away! The high cloud was very frustrating last night, I gave up in the end.

Yes the moon didn't help matters. Being fairly new to AP I am taking every opportunity I can to get some hours in.....regardless of whether the moon is out or not!

Needs must with our beautiful British weather! 😉

That's nice.  What scope?  What camera?  I find that it really helps to know when comparing images.

Scope: SW 150PDS

Guide scope: SW Evoguide 50ed

Mount: belt-modded HEQ5 Pro

Imaging camera: ASI533MC Pro

Guide cam: ASI120MM mini

Computer/software: ASIAIR Pro

I've not long ventured into AP (properly at least) so need all the practice I can get!
