which mount

Hey everyone.
I had a celestron AVX mount which never worked properly and has now stopped completely.

Was planning on replacing it with either a HEQ5 or a EQ6-R

I have a saxon Ed120 and a celestron C8 along with a orion 50mm guide scope, cameras and filter wheel.

Would the HEQ5 be able to handle this or should i go with the EQ6?

If you plan on a future OTA upgrade, then I would go for the EQ6.

The EQ6-R is the much better option, if you can find one. Are the astronomy shelves in Oz as bare as they are in the UK right now?

If replacing the mount, get the best you can afford. Making sure that you are getting increased payload and tracking accuracy - you want to improve as much as you can with every penny you can scrape together  - including the kids’ savings
