Setting up synscan controller

Having a little bit of trouble entering my longitude and latitude on the controller. I know what they are but I'm not too sure how to type it into the controller. Especially because my longitude starts with a minus.

minus longitudes are west. If you have an android phone you should download Synscaninit2 which will give you all the information you need to to set up the handset.

The centre of Edinburgh is 003 11W , 56 57N as entered into the handset.

Download synscan in it for Android if you can making setting up the handset very easy.

A minus value for Longitude just means you are West of the Meridian.

So -001 : 30 just becomes 001 : 30 W (or West, usually they just use W). Be careful of the leading zero's, double check what you enterand what the handset decides you have entered.

As wookie1965 has said, the answer is to download the SynscanInit v2.1 app. That gives you the correct values and (more importantly) gives you the correct format to enter.
