How do I interpret Takahashi diagrams?

Challenge accepted! soon as the weather clears, only issue is this pair at its highest will be fairly low in the SW sky from my location, leaving it directly over a major metropolitan centre from my vantage point.

Eagerly waiting for your report!

I think Takahashi maintain very consistent standards. I've not heard of any poor LZOS objectives. I think APM has quite stringent minimum specs for LZOS to meet:

There will of course be the odd one that slips through the net.

I guess it is the level of quality control and consistency that one pays for with these premium priced items.

From what I've heard John the F9.2 are all around 0.99 Strehl range, its the F6 which have a greater range of tolerances, from around 0.95 to 0.98 which is high for a F6 telescope.

Dark sky site is around 30 mins from my house, I'd hope to find one closer.

Nice spot!

I went on the Blue Marble and it boggles my mind how much light cities like LA and London put out.Sorry to sidetrack. I looks like youve got a swath of darkness in the area, with a block of trees in the park, trees are natural light absorbers IMHO. SQM?

sorry to @JeremyS for sidetracking and I can start another thread if need be.

I think I'll stick to the basic mount, for now, as I do have tracking with the Az mount. That Rowan mount looks superb and being able to adjust gear mesh should make my temps a non issue I think.
