Master Darks

When putting together a Set of Master Darks do you need to make them for each Telescope, each Camera or both?

I have a Williams 81 and a SW 120 APO and intend to make Master Darks for then with the Camera Cooled to -20c.

The exposer times will run from 30 secs to 300sec for each set.

Hi Pat, it's just for the camera(s). It's the camera behaviour you're capturing. 

You may come across posts where the astro camera isn't even on the scope, just cap on, face down on a table and maybe even some tin foil or other material round the end to be ultra sure!

Just make sure there are no light leaks. I take mine in the dark. Regards Andrew

Best to take them with the camera off the scope and a metal cap on. You only need to do it once in a blue moon 👍
