Reducer to Sensor Spacing too close or too far?

I'm struggling with spacing and have read lots of conflicting information about how to interpret results. 

This image has elongated stars in the corner - all pointing to the centre. 

I believe this may mean the sensor is too close or too far from the reducer - can anyone tell which is it before I spend another night trying to get it right?

Pointing along the line to the centre (outwards in corner/edges) = too close.

Pointing 90 degrees (crossing) the line to the centre = too far.

-  x   -  = Too Close

/   |   \

 

/ -  -  - \

|     x     |   = Too Far

At anyrate its too close i would add 2mm or so.

Hi

It's tilted and a little too close. I found that with my -awful- ed80, getting the corners correct will cause the central stars to get fatter.

Not to worry though, it's easily corrected in software these days:
