You'd need to give a little bit of information on what all is there in the imaging train. 

I can see you have a QHY8L, which has a 20mm back focus. So you need 35mm spacer between the Camera and what I'm assuming is a coma corrector.

Everything looks the way it should do. Now a test under the stars will tell you if you've got your spacing correct.

what brand CC are you using as the Baader Varilock goes from 27.5mm to 45mm

Sw cc yes. Used vernier calipers and that is fully adjusted

Just realised something else too.

I've added a quad band filter. Would this excuse the nearly extra 1mm that I can't get rid of?

yep but cannot see it in your photo that adds up then.
