first light with GSO 8" CC (Jupiter and Saturn)

Hi All,

Just received my new scope and  mount (CEM-40) today and managed to get some shots of jupiter and saturn while dodging clouds

lot to learn and improve, but hope you like them

Great first light. Just FYI, I would say that the scope needs collimating. If you note, the moon and shadow look like Micky Mouse.

Seeing can have a big effect, but I would find a nice 2nd mag star and check collimation. Best to do it with the camera if possible.
