SPX350 F4.53, EQ6 mod, ATK-16HR.

L/HaRGB=50/30 20 20 45min in 5min subs Ha and RGB 2x2Binned.

This was a tough nebula as it emits no Hbeta no O3 and only small amounts of Ha and faint blue broadband. It was too difficult to spend more time on, I am sorry I bothered but the final result is alright I suppose and at least it is ticked off the list. This neb is better widefield as it has dark dust around like the Cocoon neb.

This nebula is located inbetween Flaming Star and California nebs.

Thanks for looking JohnH.

What's all this "waste of time" talk.? No Image is a waste of time. There is value in all of them.

Besides, there is nothing even remotely wrong as I look at it.

I didn't even know we had a Triffid Neb. in the north, the only one I know, is about -24 degrees, a bit low in our skies, although it can be got at.

You've done very well mate.

That's not time wasted!

You've bagged a fine image of a target many of us didn't know about...thanks :hello2:

I would personally add some more data to this just to get a bit more smoothness, it's well on the way to being a great image as it is, but more data would be a bonus.

Cheers

Rob

Thanks guys for the comments, saying it was waste of time was a bit dramatic but the image I wanted was the one shown by Les taken by the 20" RC (more colour than I got at least), I suppose that was not realistic but it was an unusual target I'd not heard of before.

Thanks JohnH.
