Attaching reducer/flattener to 80ED

Recommended Posts

Hi, my 0.85 x focal reducer/flattener arrived yesterday, yay! It's optimised for my scope (Skywatcher Evostar 80ED pro).

Can someone help me figure out how to attach it to the scope? It says on the website 'Screws directly to the M56 thread on the Sky-Watcher 80ED telescope's focuser drawtube.' https://www.firstlightoptics.com/reducersflatteners/skywatcher-85x-reducer-flattener-for-ed80.html

But there doesn't appear to be an M56 thread? For anyone else using this scope and flattener,  how do you guys attach it?

Thanks

Screw off everything off the silver tube except for the last black ring.  Then screw the FF onto that

Thanks that worked, I did wonder if you could unscrew that but at first it didn't budge and I didnt want to try my luck.

Brilliant. Just tighten the black ring against the FF when it’s in the correct orientation for framing, to prevent the FF slipping
