Nice to see you're all having fun. The problem with 16 bits to play with is that it's difficult to know what to do with them all. either you get a contrasty but wel-defined image or a softer but more pleasing one. Just the edits so far prove this. It really is more than just stretching the histogram and unsharp masking. I still have a *long*@ way to go down this path because getting the raw data is only the start of getting a good pic.

Anyway, off to Kelling this weekend so if the skies play ball I should get some more stuff for you all to play with. Skies there though are not much better/darker than I have here but I can stay out all night up there
