Observational Moral Victory

It had been a beautiful clear day here in London.

But as te evening wore on the amount of cloud stated to grow.

Metcheck said the sky would be clear (How often can forecasters be wrong?)

The Metoffice said it would be cloudy by midnight.

I put the kiddies to bed and set the scope up.

Sure enough it was 9/10's cloud with sucker holes.

It has been so long since I observed that I decided that I was going to see something.

I have managed to see Mars, Saturn, Castor & Theta Auriga.

Although I only managed short views I consider this a moral victory against the cloud conspirancy.

Cheers

Ian

Scored another victory tonight.

The cloud was fairly heavy in the early evening but I happened to look out whilst watching the FA Cup match and noticed that there were some holes and the transparency was pretty good.

Got the scope out and went after my target HJ2302.

I'll give a full report later.

Cheers

Ian
