Nothing too special but worth a shot with a standard 35 - 55 canon kit lens. I know some of the stars are elongated at the edge but its not bad considering. You can clearly see M51 and 101 on the original. Keeps me amused in these very strange times ! 20 x 150 sec exposures

very good, what method did you use to focus

Thanks Richard. I switched the lens to manual focus and used Venus in live view .

Good effort. You've split Alcor and Mizar which can be tricky with a kit lens, and you've got some star colour coming through. What aperture setting did you use, and do you know about the thirds focusing trick?

I have a few tips here for shooting with a kit lens that you might find useful.
