Canon and APT

I have got a Canon EOS REBEL XT and I tested it on APT, when I used connected the camera via Print/PTP it connected but it said that LiveView is not supported with this camera and then seconds later it disconnected, then says at the bottom Exit APT, Restart Canon, cancel Canon utilites and start APT.

Check on APT forum for Camera matrix to see what your camera can or cannot do. You may have to choose a different Canon processor type to get all its feature.

I did the "Digic 2" and still did the same thing...

My 600D wouldn't do APT live view with "face detection" mode enabled. Maybe check this setting and disable ?

Then go on the APT forum but APT matrix shows notes 1,2,3,4 which is 

(1) Needs RS232 (serial) cable or DSUSB controller to control Bulb exposures. See a list of serial cable vendors 
(2) No Live View. 
(3) No Video. 
(4) No T° in EXIF
