I noticed out of the kitchen window that the moon was rising above the fence and was very orange.

So I grabbed the camera and took this single image handheld.

Minor tweaking in Lightroom, but it really was that colour.

Very nice colour. I posted on another thread about this but I never seem to get the yellow colour when taking moon images (when the moon is yellow in colour obviously). Mine always turn out just as the usual black and white normal moon colours.

It’s that colour due to the very low altitude, and the red light is refracted through the atmosphere more creating the hue.

Another 30 mins it would be more mono in appearance.
