Bit of fun Moon and Stars

I'm bored so I thought I'd have a little fun with the Moon and the stars in and around NGC 891!

I took the image of the Moon on 13th December, a single frame with a Canon 400d and SW 8" Newtonian.

Nice one Adam...

I like doing this when theres a conjunction or Occulation combining images of say M45 taken in the past with the Moon on the night of the conjuction... as well as correctly exposed moon shots, I take along enough exposure to captue a few stars to allow me to accurately position the moon in the composite...

Wouldn't it be fantastic if you really see it like this? Makes a lovely image though.

It does look a bit unnatural to say the least. I've grown fonder on the Moon since looking and imaging it lately, I no longer hate it as much as I used too :laughing2:
