Nicola Hannah Butterfield
If I used my 40D I would get this view. Which is pretty much what I cropped. and would exclude the outer rings,
happy-kat
You would have very little wiggle room for cropping stacking artifacts

So far in two nights I have got 4 reasonable images, photo lenses I can get up to 300mm with 1.4x converter or that setup on the 40D about 450nn but the ef 70-210 isn't a great lens at this sort of work, though. I understand about cropping focal lengths ect, I will just have to practice, and find what works for me. On top of that been messing with photoshop for nearly 25 years. Cheers. I quite like Alnitak in it. what interests me are the diffraction colours in the diffraction spike.
