coatesg
Looks like a parfocalising ring? Or something to easily set a focus point?
Cornelius Varley
If the internal diameter is 1.25" then it will be a parfocal ring. The parafocal ring is used to swap between eyepieces, or an eyepiece and camera, that would normally require some focus adjustment.
johninderby
It’s a spacer ring used when fitting an eyepiece to the scope instead of a camera. Part way through this vid shows it being used. Edited February 28, 2020 by johninderby
