Marvin Jenkins
Now a lot of us need help with spelling on occasion. But sometimes it makes a fool of the user. Recently I have sent a few DSO pics to non Astro friends who have asked questions and shown interest in astronomy. I sent a pic of M3 the Globular cluster and it seemed missed the ‘l’. Spell check changed it to ‘Globular Custard’ without me noticing! With connectivity that did the rounds in two minutes and two days later the cooking jokes keep coming. Anyone else been undermined by spellcheck and intuitive typing. Is there a way to turn it off? Marv

In windows 10 it is in settings , language, spelling, AutoCorrect miss spelt words me thinks on/off. keeps them guessing... Andy
Ships and Stars
I've accidentally sent some confusing texts to other colleagues and contractors thanks to spell check! I think it's happened to everyone. I believe it can be turned off in settings, but not sure how precisely. Something I might consider.
scarp15
Another one to watch out for, for which I'd seen a few slip ups; The Onion Nebula.

Marv The same thing happens all the time to me with cell phone text. Irritating....especially when in a hurry and you don't catch it. Makes me wonder if people think I am retarded.
