3D Printing with Precision Piezo

Nearly put this in the general 3D printing thread but thought it better in a new thread.

As in the title I use the Precision Piezo system with nozzle Z probing and I know there are others here who also use piezo probing.  Question, do you have any problem with the Z height sensing on Z Homing and the following printing?

Simple answer is no....

I have one on my DBot, but as its one of the 'earlier' models, I've modified it, to change the single turn sensitivity pot, to a minature multi-turn type. This gives me greater control for the optimum sensitivity sweet-spot.

So after the config settings on the Duet board, & a nine point, bed levelling routine, all other adjustments are made in the slicer software, whether that be Simplify3D or PrusaSlicer.

I've come to the conclusion that the problems I'm getting are down to the groovemount fitting to the extruder.  It's worked loose.  I'm going to replace it with another top for the Precision Piezo unit - screw-mount version.  This should be a lot more rigid.  If this doesn't work I may go back to manual bed levelling.

The screw-mount top has arrived and it provides for a very secure and stiff mounting, enormously better than the groovemount.  Great chance of curing my problems, I think.  I'm still going to provide manual bed levelling though as IMO the smaller any corrections the better.  Also, there's no getting away from the fact that the bottom of the print is the bed (unless using a raft and I don't).
