Alter Astro Minipier

I had a look at one at the IAS.
Looked very nice, but did not have anything mounted and so it unfairly felt rather light.
I think with a mount and scope it would be rather nice, but more for low set rigs,
as a visual observer, I need things higher up.

I was tempted by one at the show but they're only doing ones for Eq6 etc at the moment. I want one for my IEQ30pro as the 1 1/2 inch tripod is rather lightweight for imaging. I thought they were heavier than I expected, not too much lighter than the Ioptron tripier.

Nick also said they were proposing to bring out a bigger version. They were also asking for comments.

A friend of mine picked up one of these on Saturday for his HEQ5 mounted imaging setup.

He is very pleased with it indeed by all accounts though I don't think that the weather has been good enough for him to try it out in anger.

Thank you so much all !!

I was thinking in it, as I have very little room for my frac...

I´ll need to check height (not valid if too low for me neither), and what would be the minimum distance (from a wall to the pier, if two of the legs are put next to the wall), to check if everything fits inside the little space available...

Thank you again!!

If anyone has more inputs... please, go ahead and add them here !! :D
