OOUK VX6 Dob Mount Measurement Required

Hi Folks

Thinking of buying a OOUK Dob mount for the OD150 f5 I have similar to the present VX6.
I asked for some measurements from OOUK, but I am concerned what I have been given is wrong.

What I am after is the dimension floor to the bottom of the semi circle as marked in red above.
This is my OOUK 10" mount, so not going mad asking for what I already have.

I know a few on here own these, can you help me please.

I adapted one of the OO UK 10 inch dob mounts , like the one above,  for an 8 inch Newtonian after transferring the larger scope to my NEQ6pro.

These are lovely dob mounts to use and being all aluminium dont suffer any rust or damp problems , find mine ideal for mobile use as so easy to put in the car.

 

Can't help with dimensions for the smaller sizes sadly.

the adapted Orion Optics 10inch dob mount with 8 inch Newtonian  (200p)

 

very light and easy to pop in the car for a trip to darker skies

takes less than a minute to set up

Is the 8" f8 mount of any interest Alan. I think the scopes are similar length (ie 8" f8 and 6" f11). I can measure mine for you if of interest.The additional height vs the standard focal length models is quite handy for eyepiece height.

My main question really is one mount made for both 6" models f5 and f8?
If so the 750mm dimension I have indicated is similar to that of my 10".

I think they are probably different Alan. I know that the standard mount for the 8" f6 is shorter than the f8. I managed to find one on eBay which actually had an f6 on it but I could see it was the taller mount. I bought the lot and sold the mirror set from the OTA to offset the cost.

I should be able to measure the mount this evening and will let you know.

I could only find a 300mm ruler so not the most accurate, but I made it 595mm from the bottom of the base to the bottom of the curve as you marked. That's not quite what you asked for but hopefully it gives you enough. If you need anything else, let me know.
