Hawke are a well respected make in the birding world, I have a pair of Hawke Endurance ED Bins (from FLO) and they are excellent value for the price.

No experience of the Blackwatch model though.

I did see good reviews for the EDs, but cannot find anything on the Blackwatch, presumably because they are an older model. The price is good, so I am thinking of taking a punt given the Hawke name.

This is not a bino to consider for hand held use, in my view. Does the bino have a good tripod adapter and do you have a good compatible tripod?

I know FLO recommend Hawke and they are very honest and reliable in their reviews.

I have a pair of Hawke Frontier 8x43 ed bins.

They give a nice wide view of about 8.4 degrees.

I would recommend them .

I think I paid £230 for them.

Very good build quality.

But I do find the focuser is harder to adjust on very cold nights.

Other than that I'm very happy with mine 😁

There is a adapter thread and I have a Manfretto tripod and trigger ball head
