Moon, Jupiter and Venus...

I missed the occultation, but got this immediately afterwards - batteries ran out in the DSLR whilst I was focusing though, so this is the clearest I've got....

I saw it on the way home and thought I would grab a quick photo. I will crash

one of these days as I keep looking at the planets as I am driving home.

Nice images folks - watched this on the drive from Shoreham to home tonight but as I got closer to my home at the foot of the South Downs, this beautiful spectacle disappeared behind the Downs .... grrrrrrr

Hi Richie

I looked out 15 mins before leaving for Adur last night and saw this happening. I had totally forgotten. All in a rush with my 400m lens hand held, propped up against the Garden seat took 20 shots, only one came out ok. However I registered it, thats what counts.

Lots of shutters firing around the same time! Just thought I'd add mine here rather than starting a new thread, hope you dont mind. The moon of Jupiter you can see is Io and Ganymede in close proximity. Quite pleased with this!

20D on a wonky tripod, iso 400, 400mm, 1/2 sec @ f5.6
