Wide field imaging, not Milky Way

Hi,

Anyone do wide field imaging ? I don't mean the usual Milky Way I'm interested in constillations etc ? I think it's going to be ideal with my Fornax Lightrack, while I've used it with 300mm lenses it's very hard to get targets nicely centred and it's pushing it regarding balancing with the longer lenses so I'm trying to find some info about wide field targets and what lenses to use, Canon if possible. There doesn't seem to be much info online apart from the usual 12-14mm lenses for Milky Way/landscape.

When I've done wide field shots of entire constellations I've usually used either the stock 18-55mm Canon lens or the "nifty fifty".  I have very recently picked up a 14mm Samyang lens, but not had a chance to try it out yet.

Maybe check out the recent Imaging challenge thread. It was a constellation challenge

I do mine with a 35mm prime on a Nikon, usually tripod based too or occasionally a powered alt-az mount. Haven't posted many of them on here, but there are several in the constellation challenge thread that geordie85 mentioned
