A close up on AR12738 taken at 2500mm focal length with my Skywatcher Evostar 120, Lacerta Herschel Wedge, Revelation 2.5x Barlow, Baader Continuum Filter and ZWO ASI178MM. This image is a stack of 50 frames from 1000 captured, processed in AS!3, ImPPG and GIMP2.10. Best viewed in full resolution (click on image) where granulation and other features become more prominent. Taken on the 12th April around 08:40 BST / 07:40 UT.
