Hello all you wonderfully helpful people out there, again I am looking for good advice and what better place than SGL.

I have purchased a 2.5 times 1.25" televue powermate and want to use it on my Orion Skyquest 8 " XT plus dobsonian to take shots of the moon using a DSLR,if I purchased the t ring adapter to facilitate this would I get focus do you think,hopefully someone else has tried this and would be most appreciative for your help as its quite a pricey little item if its down to chance and it wont work,if it does then its money well spent.

Any advice greatly appreciated,always had really helpful friendly advice form you guys and thanks in advance

Using an adapter is infinitely preferable to just holding a camera up to the eyepiece or focuser, like somebody I know all too well.
