Hi Steve, Turned up to the event last night, unfortunately couldn't find you but I did have a chance to gaze at M42 through the "16 inch" in the Observatory  Pity about the poor attendance. I suppose the cold weather was a significant factor, although it was crisp and a nice clear sky. I did take advantage of this and whilst looking at equipment and talking to like minded folk my equipment was silently gathering data 

Ha stacked and b/w balanced only.

I was going to pop along but as my new scope had arrived I was obviously giving it a run out.

I tried to find the sports hall, but the event being sparsely populated and poor signage I couldn't find it. At one time I gatecrashed the lecture
