Pre Eclipse Moon 21st January 2019

This shot was taken last night before the eclipse started (and before the cloud rolled in!)

I was using my Intes Micro M715 Deluxe on Vixen GP-DX mount fitted with a Skysensor 2000PC controller. Eyepiece was a Meade 56mm Plossl to max the field of view, and I hand held my Samsung S9 to take the image. I just used the advanced S9 app in Pro mode, set at f2.4, ISO 50 and 1/750 shutter speed. I did some cropping and tweaking in Snapseed to bring out the detail a little more.

Amazing what you can see in these images. I just found craters Messier and Messier A, a very nice target. Messier B is also faintly visible.
