I am no imager but managed to catch up with Saturn pre-dawn earlier this week. Its amazing how thin its rings are now.

Will it reach a point when the rings are invisible?

Apparently the rings will be virtually invisible to us by early September next year. Due to the Earth's tilt and Saturn's tilt I'm told that the rings should actually open up a bit during next Spring before disappearing in September (It does this every 15 years). After this they will open up again, presumably in the opposite direction. Someone please let me know if I've got this wrong.
