Pulsar Dome 2.2 metre

Hi all, Just returned from visiting a friend in the Canary Islands. His Pulsar dome seems to  suffer from rather noisy rotation problems both manual and powered. we have tried a number of things to cure the grind and rattle but without much success. Starts the local dogs off barking around 2am in the still quiet  of the night. Any one experienced this problem, if so, any advice would help...regards Dave

I get the odd creak from my Pulsar 2.1 Dome. Although I did refurbish / replace my bearings and fully greased them all. Nothing but a bit of lubrication can't do.

Although, if after lubricating anything that moves doesn't cure it, It could be distortion. The higher summer temps of the Canaries could be an issue.

Interesting observation Steve. It certainly gets warm there and although fibreglass is tough material distoration is certainly possible. The grease gun gives a temporary fix, but the rattle and grind soon return...Dave
